Lavender Graduation is an annual ceremony held to honor the accomplishments of gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, queer, asexual, and allied students at The University of Alabama. Students honored at this event have not only completed the academic requirements for a college degree but have also overcome the odds of being members of the marginalized LGBTQA+ community during their school years. We honor them for that as much as their papers, reports, and projects.

This year’s Lavender Graduation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, via a Virtual Link.

*Deadline for Graduate Registration is Monday, April 27, 2020.

*We are excited to move forward with hosting a Virtual Lavender Graduation Ceremony on April 29, 2020.  The ceremony will be by invite.  A link will be emailed out to participants, to be shared and enjoyed by friends and family.  Though this is not the in-person experience we would have liked, we are excited about the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates.  All 2020 Lavender Graduates will also be invited to return to participate in our 2021 Ceremony, should they desire.
