Lizzie Emerson: Safe Zone Graduate Assistant

Lizzie graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in English in 2009. Later, she completed a Master’s degree in English from the University of Memphis.  Currently, Lizzie is a student at the University of Alabama working toward completion of her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. Before working with UA Safe Zone, Lizzie worked as an English teacher in Memphis City Schools, an administrator in the Peer Power Foundation (a college prep, non-profit organization in the Greater Memphis Area), as well as, an Instructor composition and literature at both the University of Memphis and the University of Alabama.


Dr. Rosalind Moore-Miller: Safe Zone Administrator

Rosalind is  is a former military dependent, born in Vicenza, Italy with a number of places she calls home.  With her family roots in Lincoln, AL, she returned back to Alabama to pursue her post secondary education endeavors. She received her undergraduate degree from Jacksonville State University (Jacksonville, AL) with a double major in English and Political Science and also a masters degree in Counselor Education with an emphasis on College Student Personnel.  Rosalind is also a graduate of The University of Alabama with a Ph.D. in Social and Cultural Foundations of Education.  She has been on staff at The University just over 12 years and has served in the areas of housing and residential communities, the dean of students office, fraternity and sorority life, and graduate engagement.  She is currently Director of Student Involvement and assists with the administration of the Safe Zone Resource Center, where she is responsible for enhancing the co-curricular engagement of students at UA through organization involvement, leadership development, and support for personal growth and development, and emphasizing the development of critical job readiness skills.
